Concrete & Steel Bridge | Home | Pilings & Foundations
This set-in-place bridge is constructed from recycled railroad flat cars. The bridges come in 8 and 14 ft widths and in 40, 50, 60, and 90 ft lengths. Because of their design properties, rail cars are economical for single lane bridges. For bridges wider than 14 feet, steel or concrete beam bridges are generally a better economic choice. Flat car is an important distinction box cars with the sides cut off do not supply nearly as much strength. |
